Erik also comes from a culinary background and spent many days experimenting with a dry-cured, cherrywood-smoked bacon recipe (unlike anything else on the market). In 2010 he and his brother Shannon started Tender Belly. Their business was an immediate hit – the lure of tasty bacon and other outstanding pork products was too good for chefs to pass up.
